Recent Events
In December 2016, CMAA hosted our holiday gathering and teamed up with Toys for Tots. This year our members donated a record amount of construction related and engaging toys to children in need.

In February, Casey Nokes with Cable Huston, LLP discussed construction law. The discussion explored cumulative impact claims. Mr. Nokes provided an overview of various case studies from both the Owner’s and Contractor’s perspectives.

In March, CMAA hosted a Quality in Construction event. This panel discussion focused on techniques to track quality during fast paced construction. Ed Trotter from OHSU moderated the discussion and presenters from Mortenson, Trimet, and Turner provided overviews of their robust quality programs.

CMAA hosted a student tour of the new Faubion K-8 School, this student only tour was an opportunity for students and young professionals to visit an active construction site.

In April, CMAA hosted a tour of the OHSU Knight Cancer Research Facility currently under construction. The facility will be a seven-floor, 320,000 sf building.

We thank our event hosts and presenters, who without, the Chapter would not be able to provide these quality educational events.
